PGE Builds Five Livable Houses and MCK for Communities Surrounding the Operation Area

North Aceh – PT Pema Global Energi (PGE) built five units of livable houses and one unit of MCK and wudhuk for dayah around the company’s operational area. The construction was marked by peusijuek and groundbreaking activities held in Tutong Village, Matangkuli District, North Aceh, on Thursday (02/11/2023).

Each of the livable houses was built in Tutong Village, Matangkuli Subdistrict, one unit in Teupin U Village, Pirak Timu Subdistrict, one unit in Mampre Village, Syamtalira Aron Subdistrict, two units in Langkahan Subdistrict and one unit of MCK and wudhuk built at Dayah Bahrul Huda, Parang Sikureung Village, Matangkuli Subdistrict.

PGE Field Manager Agung Widyantoro, accompanied by External Relation Coordinator Agus Salim during the peusijuek and groundbreaking activities, said that the livable house assistance was PGE’s assistance with the support of the Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA) in order to share kindness with neighboring communities around the PGE operating area.
“We believe that by sharing, harmony will be created between us and our neighboring communities so that the company’s operational activities in Working Area B will get full support from the community. And most importantly, it can ease the burden on our neighboring communities who really need livable housing,” Agung explained.

Agung added that during its operations in Working Area B, PGE has made many positive contributions to the communities around the company, including the construction of a 6-kilometer road from Matangkuli to Pirak Timu, distribution of post-flood assistance, meugang cattle assistance, compensation for orphans and Koran package assistance, improvement of community facilities and infrastructure, business group development, food security programs and increased agricultural production, skills / vocational training, scholarships for elementary school students, health and sanitation improvement and community social services that have been carried out several months ago in the form of cataract surgery for 100 patients; mass medical treatment, compensation for orphans, distribution of school equipment packages and a number of other assistance.
BPMA representative, Martoenoes in his speech said that PGE as one of the Contractor Cooperation Contracts (KKKS) under BPMA in addition to generating foreign exchange and income for Aceh also focuses on development and community empowerment because community support is needed in carrying out operations in Working Area B.
Meanwhile, the Head of Matangkuli Sub-District, Edwar, BA in his speech during the groundbreaking of the construction of livable houses expressed his deepest appreciation to PGE for the assistance that has been given to the community so far. According to him, even though it has only been operating for more than two years, PGE has contributed a lot in terms of development and community empowerment.
